I’m bringing my 27 years of fitness experience to bear on the Rochester community with the opening of my own studio. It’s been a lifelong dream—hard fought, just the way I like it. Rochester is the home to M/Body. It is my home. It’s where I met my husband and it’s the city where we raise our seven children.
Along the way, I’ve gained unique insight into what motivates people to push their personal limits. I’ve been humbled and awestruck by the power of the human spirit and that is what led me to create M/Body.
I will absolutely annoy you by playing way too much Irish music during my classes. I might yell some choice words at you along the way—telling you to get your heinie in gear and whatnot.
But, as we all know—it’s not about what I say about you. It’s about what you think of yourself, isn’t it? I’m just giving you the space to figure it out.
Come on in. I can’t wait to meet you.

I began my yoga practice in 1993, and quickly became drawn to the clarity of the lineage teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. I have completed both Advanced and Essential Teacher Trainings under the direction of Francois Raoult, internationally renowned yoga teacher and direct student of B.K.S. To keep my teaching vibrant I regularly seek opportunities to deepen my practice and have studied with Arthur Kilmurray, Elise Browning Miller (scoliosis), Judith Hanson Lasater (anatomy and restorative yoga), Timothy McCall (yoga therapy), and Brooke Myers. I’m especially grateful for my recent opportunity to study with Geeta and Prashant Iyengar at the Ramamani Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India.
More than anything, I’m thankful for the presence and dedication of my students who bring me joy and inspire me daily.

Now, as a busy mom of three young children, I understand how difficult it can be to fit being active and taking care of yourself into your daily life. My goal with M/Body Retail is to help you make the most of your time and take the guesswork out of having great pieces to wear for the gym, at home, or after a busy day at work. A fierce new pair of workout pants might not give you the perfect downward dog or help you cycle faster, but I believe when when you look your best, you’ll feel even better. And if you can throw an amazing top on over your workout clothes and be ready to run errands or meet up with friends, even better.

Katie Gleason, MS, RDN, CDN
Known for creating fitness plans and offering nutrition consultations that enhance the athletic performance of both casual exercisers and competitive athletes, I see M/Body as a cool place to land after 20 years in Rochester’s health and fitness field.
Always looking to share my passion for food and fitness, I also teach Consumer Nutrition at Monroe Community College and offer presentations throughout the community. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Radford University and a Master of Science degree in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. I am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American College of Sports Medicine.
A registered dietitian, certified fitness instructor and certified personal trainer, I live in Fairport, NY with my husband and four children.
